Do ceramic braces stain?

The ceramic brackets themselves are highly resistant to staining. However, the small elastic bands (ligatures) that hold the wire can stain if you consume a lot of curry, red wine, or coffee. The good news is that we change these bands at every appointment (every 6-8 weeks), giving you a fresh, clean look.

Are they as strong as metal braces?

Ceramic is a very strong material, but it is more brittle than metal. While they are durable enough for everyday life, we advise patients to be careful with very hard foods (like crusty bread) to prevent chipping a bracket.

Why would I choose ceramic over Clear Aligners?

Some complex tooth movements are difficult to achieve with clear aligners alone. If you have a complex bite issue but still want a discreet option, ceramic braces offer the best of both worlds: the mechanical power of fixed braces with the aesthetics of clear treatment.
